Dr Charles Arcus is currently a Junior Medical Officer at Westmead Hospital. After completing an Honours Degree in English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Sydney and then a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Notre Dame, Charles is now keen to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Under the supervision of Professor Glen Mola, Head of the Department of Obstetrics at The University of PNG, Charles spent time at Port Moresby General Hospital in 2016 and documented his experience of the practice of Obstetrics in Papua New Guinea’s capital in his article: ‘An Emergency on Australia’s Doorstep’
